Replicas (2019)

It's been a while since I've watched a Sci-fi movie in a theater and I was surprised to see that Keanu Reeves was the star of this one. The trailer intrigued me, as cloning and transforming humans into cyborgs is something that interests me quite a bit.

Velvet Buzzsaw (2019)

A Netflix film that I decided to watch just because the poster kept catching my interest, Velvet Buzzsaw is quite the interesting film. I went in blind, only knowing the plot based on the Netflix description. 

This film is actually part comedy which I wasn't expecting. I also was not expecting Toni Collette to be in this film with a rather bossy and silly role. After being utterly traumatized by her performance in Hereditary (not even kidding) seeing her in such a different tone was odd, but still enjoyable nonetheless.

Happy Death Day 2U

I previously had reviewed the very first Happy Death Day when it came out a while ago, before I ever made this blog. I enjoyed the first film quite a bit, despite it not being really scary or frightening. It had a good storyline and got a few laughs out of me.

When I first saw the trailer for Happy Death Day 2U my initial reaction was "Oh no. Is this real." I thought the first film ended nicely and I was confused on how they would continue on from that. It seemed absurd. And quite frankly, this movie is absurd. But is it bad?

This review does get into detail on the direction this film takes but there are no plot specific spoilers.
